Officials Place Crystal Lake Under 'High Water' Status

All watercraft on the lake must travel at a no-wake speed until the restriction is lifted.

Thunderstorms and very heavy rain this week caused localized minor flooding in areas throughout the Twin Cities, including Burnsville.

The storms caused lakes and rivers to rise significantly, and recent water level readings indicate that Crystal Lake has reached "high water" status.

As a result, officials have placed Crystal Lake under high water restriction status. All watercraft on the lake must travel at a no-wake speed of 5 MPH or less until the restriction is lifted.
