Pickle Juice Slushie Will Be Sold At Twin Cities Sonics

BLOOMINGTON, MN — Sonic is now selling a Pickle Juice Snow Cone Slush at all its locations. Yes, that's correct — a pickle juice slushie.

You can try it yourself at one of the four locations in the Twin Cities metro:

• Bloomington
• Savage
• Saint Paul
• Columbia Heights

The new flavor will be sold alongside Tiger's Blood, Bahama Mama and Blue Hawaiian and everyone will have to act like that's OK. The company said its hoping customers will be daring this summer, which might say something about the flavor being debuted.

"Sonic guests are game to try adventurous and fun flavors, so we've made it our mission to deliver the best of both worlds when it comes to innovation and variety," said Scott Uehlein, vice president of product innovation and development for Sonic. "The entire Snow Cone Slush lineup - including Pickle Juice, Bahama Mama, Blue Hawaiian and Tiger's Blood - has a distinctly summertime vibe, allowing our guests to create new summer memories."

To commemorate the debut of the new flavor, Sonic is releasing a Snapchat lens that will transform users into an icy-cold Pickle Juice Slush. That lens will be available from June 11 through July 29. During happy hours, all of the Sonic slushies are half-price.

Rumors of the company's pickle juice flavored slushie started flying around in March. Intrigue was high, but so was the skepticism. Before anyone wonders, there are real human people that want to try this monstrous concoction. There are also...other opinions on the Pickle Juice Slush.
