Police Ask for Public's Help in Identifying Suspect in Burnsville Shooting

Police have no leads at this time, according to the Star Tribune.

Burnsville police are asking for the public's help in identifying the person or persons who shot and killed 23-year-old Abdifatah Ahmed Mahumod, and wounded another Tuesday morning in Burnsville.

According to the Star Tribune, Sgt. Rory Bochniak said police still don't have any leads on suspects or information as to the motive of the shooting:

“We’re trying to find someone who saw something,” Bockniak said. “It’s just a matter of finding the right people, getting the right person to come forward.”

The incident happened around 2 a.m. on the 2100 block of E. 117th Street in Burnsville. A female then drove the victims an Eagan Super America on Cliff and Slater roads.

The identity of the wounded victim has not been released. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 952-895-4592.
