The 36th annual Burnsville Fire Muster is almost here.

The Burnsville Fire Muster takes center stage "south of the river" Sept. 7 — 11.

Long a staple of both area residents and fire truck enthusiasts, the festival typically draws up to 18,000 guests who enjoy a wide range of activities for individuals and families of all ages, including live entertainment, exhibits, demonstrations, food, beer, bingo and fireworks, according to a news release.

The 2016 edition of the Burnsville Fire Muster will feature all of the traditional favorites, including the community and fire truck parade (11:00 a.m. Saturday), Kidz Korner (Noon – 8:00 p.m. Saturday) and a fireworks display (9:30 p.m. Saturday).

Headlining the main entertainment stage will be Tim Sigler on Friday night (7:00 – 11:00 p.m. ) and Them Pesky Kids on Saturday night (7:00 – 11:00 p.m. Saturday).

Additional musical acts appearing at the festival will be Old Skol and The Teddy Bear Band (Kidz Korner).

Among the new offerings this year is the addition of craft beers and a new carnival midway.

The 2016 festival schedule highlights include:

• Tuesday, Sept.6th — Medallion Hunt Kickoff (City of Burnsville)
• Wednesday, Sept. 7th — City Block Party featuring Elvis Experience (Nicollet Commons Park)
• Thursday, September 8th — Classic Car Show and Craft Beer Tasting (Ames Center Plaza)
• Friday, Sept. 9th — Carnival rides, beer tent, fire truck display, live music (Civic Center Park)
• Saturday, Sept. 10th — Heart of the City 5K, community and fire truck parade, carnival rides, fire truck and safety demonstrations, Kidz Korner, business expo, food, beer tent, bingo, live music. Them Pesky Kids, family fireworks display – (Civic Center Park)
• Sunday, Sept. 11th – Community worship service (Civic Center Park)
