Why Doesn't Burnsville Declare Snow Emergencies?
If you're new to Burnsville, you might not be familiar with the city's parking rules during winter weather.

If you live in Burnsville, you hopefully know the city does not declare snow emergencies. Not now, not ever.
City officials say there's no need to worry if you're parked on the right side of the street or if there's been enough snow for a snow emergency to be declared. Instead, on-street parking is prohibited all year long in Burnsville between 2-6 a.m. daily.
Authorities say the parking ban helps create more space for fire trucks, ambulances, police vehicles and snow plows to get through and to prevent accidents by removing obstacles.
