Woman Crashes Into Lunds And Byerlys Grocery Store

The Eden Prairie store reopened for business Tuesday.

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN — Lunds and Byerlys in Eden Prairie has reopened for business after a car crashed into the grocery store Monday night.

At 7:45 p.m., police responded to the scene at 970 Prairie Center Drive. Officers observed property damage consistent with a vehicle traveling at a "high rate of speed."

According to investigators, a 76-year-old woman from Eden Prairie accidentally backed her 1998 Plymouth Breeze through the entry doors, striking a wall and coming to a stop near the checkout counters.

There were no injuries reported at the scene.
