DeLila Emma Newman, “Lila", age 97, of Lakeville, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Jan. 8, 2013.

She was surrounded by many loving family members at the time of her passing and welcomed by many more into her new heavenly home.

Lila is preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm; parents, Loren and Ida Smith; sisters, Evelyn (Jack) Hartung, Rosella (John) Artes; brothers, Loren (Phoebe) and Dale Smith. She is survived by her loving children, William (Evie) Newman, Bette (Del) Doetkott and James (Jordana) Newman. 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marion Smith and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 8250 202nd St. W. Lakeville with a gathering of family and friends 1hr prior to service. A private interment will take place at the Lakeville Grove Cemetery.
