Man Drowns In Lake Marion: Sheriff

The man won't be identified until the family is notified, the Sheriff's Office said.

LAKEVILLE, MN — A 28-year-old man drowned in Lake Marion in Lakeville on Sunday, the Dakota County Sheriff's Office said.

The man will not be identified until his family is notified, officials said.

Officials said the Sheriff's Office responded to a call at 7:42 p.m. Sunday about a man who had been missing for two hours. He had last been seen on an inflatable device near Antlers Park Beach, officials said.

The Sheriff's Office and Lakeville Fire Department began a search, with the Lakeville Fire Department using a drone, officials said. The drone showed the man submerged in four feet of water, officials said.

The man's body was recovered at 8:47 p.m., officials said.
