Jerry Lee Rembe, 65

Jerry Lee Rembe  passed away early Saturday morning at the age of 65. Jerry suffered a heart attack and passed peacefully in his home with his wife Susie.

Jerry was the third child of Harold and Marie Rembe born October 25, 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa. Jerry grew up in Sioux City and graduated from East High School. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father and memories of working with him laying brick.

Jerry grew into a handsome well dressed man. He enjoyed driving hot rods and hanging out with his friends. Jerry was drafted to Vietnam where in the Army he joined 1st cavalry, became a green beret and supply Sergeant with one tour.

He came back to Sioux City where he met the love of his life Susie Rembe and they married July 22, 1971 and together raised a son and daughter.

In the early eighties Jerry moved to Minneapolis to pursue his Iron-Working career where he lived with his sisters family Judith and Thomas Barr.

Shortly after the Rembe's moved to Lakeville where Jerry continued to support and raise his family. Jerry was a Iron-worker for Local Union 512 and worked until the age of 59 when he retired.

He enjoyed life as much as he could even through hard times and loved his family. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family, swimming, and going to see the Twins play baseball. He really enjoyed going to live concerts and listening to music of all kinds.

Jerry loved telling stories about his life experiences. He is deeply loved by his family and will be missed.

Survivors include his wife Susie, daughter Mary Lou Rembe, granddaughter Zoey Paschka, son Benjamin (Aimee), his two sisters; Joan Lewis, her children Jeff, Jaimie (Julie), Jean (Steve), Judith Barr (Thomas), their children Rainie, Jason (Tammy) and their daughter Elizabeth. Preceded by his father and mother Harold and Marie.

There will be a celebration of his life Febuary 24 at Surly Brewing Co. 4811 Dusharme Drive Brookyn Center MN 55429. The event is open to family and friends from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. At 4:00pm we will gather inside the main brewery and talk about Jerry and his life.
