LaVern “Vern” Nelson, age 83 of Lakeville passed away February 18, 2013 peacefully at his home.

Preceded in death by his brother, Eugene and sister-in-law, Colleen. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosella; children, Lee (Debbie), Jon (Lisa), Kathy (Joe) Neppl, Michael, and Eric (Debbie); 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; siblings, D. John Nelson and Faith (Don) Buss; sister-in-law, Loma Nelson; also by other loving relatives and friends.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, 3pm Thursday, February 21, 2013 at All Saints Catholic Church (19795 Holyoke Ave). Memorial visitation one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Fairview Hospice and Home Care, 2450 26th Ave. So., Mpls, MN 55406.
