According to a criminal complaint filed with the Dakota County Attorney's Office, on Sept. 30, Super entered a car parked in the parking area of a Lakeville day care, and stole the victim's purse, credit cards and a spare set of car and house keys from the vehicle while she was dropping her child off for the day.
The victim didn't realize her purse was missing until she got to work, but assumed it was at home. When the victim got back to her Lakeville home at the end of the work day, she found it had been burglarized and she called .
According to the complaint, officers found the home ransacked, with televisions, a game console, video games, a laptop, passports, and miscellaneous bills stolen. A day later, the victim notified police that her credit and debit cards had been used without her consent, and three days later, the victim reported her car stolen. Police found the car in Anoka, MN, a few days later, and on Oct. 17, obtained video surveillance from both of the gas stations where the voctim's cards were used. That same day, Super was identified as the suspect in the crimes by witnesses and the video.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 18, Super, after meeting with investigators, admitted to the purse theft and burglary, saying he traded the items for drugs.
He also confessed to similar purse thefts from other cars at daycares in days before this case.
He pleaded guilty to the crimes on Oct. 24, as well as a littany of other crimes in Burnsville.
If convicted of the charges against him, Super could spend up to 33 years in prison and be forced to pay a $60,000 fine.
