Lakeville is so lucky to be home to so many beautiful parks, and streams and lakes. I've attached this lovely picture to show you what our clean up day volunteers found in the South Creek.
The South Creek is a quiet little stream that flows in southern Lakeville and then into the Vermillion River. Â We have been cleaning this area once a year for five years.
Keeping Lakeville's waters, and parks clean is something that we all want. Consider not using plastic! Plastic bottles are the number one problem. Consider not throwing your old televisions and  microwaves into the creek. There are recycling centers around town. Consider not using plastic bags and styrofoam. And to top it off if you would find a better place to put your old sofas!
LFE is about fun too! Look for further posts on our first of three Pedal the Parks rides.Â
Meet at Steve Michaud Park. Saturday, June 28 9am. Our LFE guide will lead us through trails and to parks on the east side of Lakeville. Please wear a helmet. The ride will be approximately 10-12 miles.
