Lakeville Man Flees Police, Tries to Hide in Apple Valley Driveway

A Lakeville man arrested after leading Farmington police on a high-speed chase says he didn't stop for officers because he "was paranoid."

Michael Walter Felixberger, 51, was driving in Farmington on Oct. 2 when a Farmington Police Officer tried to make a traffic stop on his vehicle, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Dakota County Attorney's Office. When the officer turned on his police lights and sirens, Felixberger fled—accelerating up to 92-miles-per-hour, according to the complaint.

After a brief chase, Felixberger is alleged to have pulled his car into the driveway of a home in Apple Valley where he turned off the car and all of its lights, the complaint says.

The officer located the car, ordered Felixberger out of the car, and placed him under arrest. According to the complaint, Felixberger told the officer that he saw the officer’s lights and knew that he was being pursued but did not stop because he “was paranoid.”
