Lakeville North Girls Hockey Team Begins State Title Run Tonight

Lakeville North is the No. 4 seed in this year's Class AA girls state hockey tournament.

The No. 4 Lakeville North's girls hockey team opens this year's Class AA State Tournament against No. 5 North Wright County at 8 p.m. tonight at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

This is the second consecutive trip to state for the Panthers, and they have represented Section 1AA in three of the past four years.

The team is holding a “send-off” from Lakeville Ames Arena at 1 p.m today. The students will board the bus and be escorted to the city limits by Lakeville Fire and Police Departments.
