Letter to the Editor: Matt Little the Best Choice to Lead Lakeville

Letter writer: Matt Little "isn't afraid to say what he feels and he fights for the good of the city."

To the editor,

I got to know Matt Little a couple years ago while working together at Highview Hills Senior Living Community. Oftentimes young people have difficulty working at a place such as this because they aren’t able to connect with different generations. Not Matt. Matt fit right in and the seniors loved him. They’d repeatedly ask me the next time he worked, because they loved chatting with him.

My favorite memory has to be when we had a gala for all the residents and the community. Matt showed up and immediately had a full dance card. He was such a good sport he danced non-stop for over an hour. The smiles on the faces of the residents were priceless.

Matt has more energy and more wisdom to do the right thing than anyone I know and above all, Matt has the interest in improving and helping the Lakeville community grow and prosper. He has shown his strong support for our growing senior population by being instrumental in helping with obtaining more space for the new senior center. He was one of the main players to open the Lakeville Resource Center when others said Lakeville didn’t need it. I have volunteered at the Resource Center and have seen firsthand the crucial need and the great service the Center provides for our community members.

Matt cares. He knows the issues Lakeville faces. He does his homework and his research and reaches out to other communities to understand what our neighbors’ issues are and how they resolve them. Matt isn’t afraid to say what he feels and he fights for the good of the city.

My husband and I have been residents of Lakeville for over 20 years and have been active in many Lakeville organizations. Matt Little is our choice to serve the citizens of Lakeville.
