Minnesotans' Military Apprecation Fund Recognizes Lakeville Veteran Saturday
The MMAF will present Corporal Travis Wachter of Lakeville with a $500 grant in a 'Say Thanks Day' ceremony at Ft. Snelling.

Corporal Travis Wachter of Lakeville will receive a $500 grant from the Minnesotans' Military Apprecation Fund (MMAF) as part of a "Say Thanks Day" Ceremony at Fort Snelling on Saturday.Â
Wachter served with Marine Helicopter Squadron One, U.S. Marine Corps, with a deployment to Afghanistan.
This is the schedule of events at Boy Scout Base Camp, 201 Bloomington Road, Fort Snelling:Â
8:00 a.m. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Say Thanks Day day-of registration opens
8:55 a.m. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â A military airplane flyover with T6 Texans (WWII-era training planes) in missing man formation
9:00 a.m. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 10K run and 5K/Marine RECON Challenge begin
9:10 a.m. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 2-mile walk begins
9:30 a.m.            Kids' Carnival inflatables open
10:15 a.m.            Say Thanks Day program: Presentation of MMAF grants, post race/walk refreshments and announcement of race and prize drawing winners.
10:30 a.m. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Live music from Emerson Avenue Band, Base Camp ropes course and climbing walls, and static military display.
10:45 a.m.           Base Camp Magic Show featuring Allen Johnson
12:00 p.m. Â Â Â Â Â Â Say Thanks Day ends
