Vote for Angie Craig

I was once an Independent voter who supported John McCain for President (God rest his soul). He was a champion of a cause I care deeply about — campaign finance reform. But, as I paid better attention to the policies of the Republican party at large, I came to understand that this was not the party I once knew. They are increasingly out of step with my passion for public education and heartfelt belief that when teachers are supported, they can make huge impacts for our children; our future.

I've been a Minnesota nonprofit leader, volunteer, and stay-at-home Mom for the past 20 years. Before that, I benefited from public services as a child in Wisconsin. My extended family has been impacted by Wisconsin's Governor Scott Walker's assault on workers’ rights. Both of my sisters are teachers in Wisconsin who have felt the impact of these anti-worker policies on their family budgets. We cannot allow these anti-worker policies to negatively impact the families in our great state of Minnesota.

Like Scott Walker and too many other Republicans, Jason Lewis' policies are extreme and regressive. He has voted to push the Republican Party I once respected out of the mainstream, pitting themselves against working people. I know and have respect for both Jason Lewis and Angie Craig; however, I only trust one of these candidates to support policies required for our community to thrive and that person is Angie Craig. America, and Minnesota, cannot afford to return Mr. Lewis to Congress.
