Casey Zebrev: I was running an in-home day care and I had such a waiting list that I needed more space. I started looking for a space to rent. I live in Maple Grove and wanted to stay local and found a great spot on 91st Avenue and now we’re going strong.
Patch:Â What makes your day care unique?
Zebrev: Maple Grove Academy offers a comfortable setting for kids and flexible schedules for adults. If a parent wants to pick their child up early or come in late, that’s fine. Parents are even welcome to come and visit their children here. Our families come first. Plus, this is a locally owned day care. If a parent has any questions, they talk directly with me.

Patch:Â What kinds of activities do you plan throughout the day?
Zebrev:Â Maple Grove Academy offers music class, Spanish, sign language and gymnastics. We want learning to be fun.Â

Patch: What’s your background?
Zebrev: I have taken care of kids since I was 10. I started out as a babysitter. I’ve worked at child-care facilities and ran my own in-home day care for years. I have three kids of my own and I just love kids.
Patch:Â What ages do you serve?
Zebrev: We take care of kids from 6 weeks to 12 years. Currently, 60 kids are enrolled at Maple Grove Academy and we’re currently enrolling more.Â
Patch:Â What are your future plans?
