Circus Art Projects, Same-Sex Weddings and Mosquito Dangers

It will be a week of celebrations and summer activities in Maple Grove. Here are some of the events happening this week, and a warning about mosquito bites. 

Cirque de Arts

The Studio at Rush Creek will host a circus art camp starting at 10 a.m. until noon on July 29, July 30, July 31 and Aug. 1.

Same-Sex Marriages Legal in Minnesota

Courthouses statewide will be packed as Thursday, Aug. 1, becomes a day of history in Minnesota. 

Many will open at 12:01 a.m. for same-sex couples looking to "get hitched" under a new state law that recognizes their marriage for the first time, making Minnesota the 12th state in the United States to do so. 

Avoid Mosquito Bites

The first case of West Nile virus in Minnesota this year has been reported. Last year Dakota County had one case of the virus.
