COVID-19: Maple Grove Police Cancel National Night Out Activities
Maple Grove residents are still able to host a registered block party for National Night Out.

MAPLE GROVE, MN — The Maple Grove Police Department announced Monday that it has canceled its National Night Out activities scheduled for Oct. 6. "The decision was not an easy one, but due to the current situation with COVID-19, it is the best decision," the department said.
Maple Grove residents are still able to host a registered block party Oct. 6. Those that register will receive "care package" with supplies to host a safe party.

- "Speak with your neighbors ahead of time and decide what items are non-negotiable, such as wearing a mask when mingling."
- "The size of you party should be dictated by how many people you can safely social distance (keep six feet apart) in your yard or on the street."
- "Have a designated server wearing a mask/disposable gloves or consider single serve food options."
- "Consider activities that promote social distancing, such as chalk art and lawn games."
