FEMA Reps Deployed in Maple Grove to Help Residents Apply for Disaster Assistance

Maple Grove residents who experienced flood damage to their property on Sept. 21 are encouraged to register with FEMA by Jan. 2, 2017.

Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are currently in the Maple Grove area to help residents apply for disaster assistance following the heavy rains and flooding the city experienced in September. Residents who experienced damage to their property as a result of the heavy rains and flooding on Sept. 21 are encouraged to register with FEMA by Jan. 2, 2017.

Determination as to whether assistance will be provided in the form of low cost recovery loans or grants is still under review by FEMA, according to a news release.

Residents may start the registration process by contacting FEMA online or by calling 1-800-621-3362. Assistance is available in English, Spanish, and other languages. The TTY # is 1-800-462-7585.
