Northern Minnesota Is A Winter Wonderland Thursday: Photos
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Northland.

MINNESOTA — Winter came early for northern Minnesota. Several inches of snow was dumped overnight.
According to the National Weather Service. Up to 17 inches of snow fell west of Fargo and Grand Forks in North Dakota. Up to 5 inches fell in northeast Minnesota.
Temperatures Thursday morning also fell sharply, with wind chills down to 3 degrees in some places.

Meanwhile in central Minnesota, the Twin Cities saw its first flakes of the season.
First snow of the season! We saw flurries here at our office in Chanhassen between 3:30 and 4:30 AM. Several other reports of flurries around the metro during the pre-dawn hours, including at MSP Airport around 5:15 AM (earliest flurries on record at MSP is Sept 15th). #mnwx
