Hy-Vee Expands In The Twin Cities: Potential Next Locations
Where will Hy-Vee build next? Here are the next possible locations.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Hy-Vee Supermarket stores are becoming increasingly popular throughout the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area. Since 2015, the Iowa-based chained has opened stores in Eagan, Cottage Grove, Lakeville, New Hope, Oakdale, Brooklyn Park, Shakopee and Savage.
The company plans to open stores in Robbinsdale and Plymouth this fall. A location for Spring Lake Park was approved by the city council in July.
But eager fans of the chain want to know; will Hy-Vee expand next?

Here are the next possible locations:
Hy-Vee currently has plans for a location in Blaine, according to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Business Journal.

It's also interested in Maple Grove and Farmington, the Pioneer Press reported.
Last year, the company pulled back from plans to build a store in White Bear Lake on Centerville Road. The site is now owned by Lunds & Byerlys.

Cub Foods
With news in July that United Natural Foods is buying Supervalu for $2.9 billion, business analysts expect Minnesota's Cub Foods stores to get new owners in the near future. It's speculated that Hy-Vee could take over a few former Cub stores.
