Local Company Receives CHOICE, Inc.’s Community Partner Award

For nearly 20 years, local nonprofit CHOICE, Inc. and Spear Envelope Company have partnered to create a unique win-win situation. CHOICE, Incorporated is a team of professionals dedicated to creating partnerships and programs that enrich the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Job placement and support for individuals served at CHOICE is one of the many ways that the agency fulfills this mission. Spear Envelope Company’s main initiative is to manufacture durable envelopes for the seed and grain industry. Many years ago, a large custom order prompted the idea that Spear and CHOICE could partner to tackle this order together. Workers from CHOICE did an excellent job inserting thousands of envelopes with a poly liner and helped to fulfil the order while providing a high-quality service. Two decades later, Spear Envelope is still a favorite employer for many CHOICE participants. Michael Meyer, the owner of Spear Envelope Company says that the pleasure is all his when it comes to working with the CHOICE participants. He says the only improvement to the partnership would be to have more work to offer! Mr. Meyer has come to know CHOICE very well and regularly supports the organization’s events.
