Man Charged With Sexual Conduct Of Boy, 6, In Brooklyn Park
The incident happened in Willowstone Park on May 26, authorities said.
BROOKLYN CENTER, MN — A man was charged with sexual conduct involving a 6-year-old boy at a public recreation area in Brooklyn Park a week ago, police said.
Jonah P. Canny, 18, of Brooklyn Park was charged with one count of criminal sexual conduct in the second degree involving a victim under the age of 13.
Canny was arrested Friday and remains in custody at the Hennepin County Jail. His bail was set at $250,000. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison and a fine of up to $35,000.

The incident happened in Willowstone Park on May 26, authorities said. The boy's family went to Willowstone Park at about 6 p.m. At 9 p.m., as the family was preparing to leave, they noticed the boy was missing.
The boy's uncle saw him come out a portable toilet with a man, according to the criminal complaint. The uncle confronted the man, who claimed the child was stuck in the portable toilet and needed help getting out, police said.

The boy later said someone took off his clothes and touched him, according to the criminal complaint. The uncle later identified Canny as the man who exited the portable toilet with the child, police said.
