Maple Grove Football Preps For State Quarterfinal

The undefeated Crimson will play Roseville on Thursday night.

A pep rally at Maple Grove Senior High on Thursday afternoon will send the football team off in high spirits to the state quarterfinals.

The team plays Roseville Area High School (9-1) at TCF Bank Stadium at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7. Maple Grove is the No. 2 seed.

Maple Grove beat Minnetonka 14-9 last week in the section final.

No. 4 seed Osseo (9-1) plays Totino-Grace (8-2) at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8 at the Metrodome. The Orioles are headed to the state tournament for the first time in 19 years after a 17-14 win versus the Prior Lake Lakers on Nov. 1. 


Class AAAAAA Quarterfinals

From the Minnesota State High School League:
Four teams return from the 2012 Class AAAAAA field and one moves up from Class AAAAA. Eden Prairie returns as the defending champion in Class AAAAAA and Totino-Grace of Fridley moves up as the champion from Class AAAAA. The other returning teams are Lakeville North, Eastview of Apple Valley, and Rosemount. All of the teams have previous tournament experience and Eden Prairie and Maple Grove boast the only perfect records.

Quarterfinal game tickets (pre-sale) for parents and community members are on sale Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after school from 2:15-3:30p.m. at the information desk in the main lobby of Maple Grove Senior High.
 
Students can buy tickets for themselves (and for their parents) during all three lunches on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  

These tickets are general admission tickets. The Crimson section is 138-143. Tickets can also be bought pre-game at TCF Bank Stadium. Ticket prices are $9 for adults and $6 for students. Kindergarten age and under are free.
