Maple Grove Native Dies At 47

MAPLE GROVE, MN — Joel Thomas Orne, age 47, who was raised in Maple Grove, died accidentally at his Brooklyn Park home on July 12. Orne worked as a Senior Business Analyst at Ameriprise Financial Services Inc. and was previously employed at Target Corporation.

Orne is survived by his parents, Thomas and Wanda, his son Noah, one brother, and two sisters, and other friends and relatives, according to his obituary in the Mankato Free press.

A funeral service for Orne will be held at The Grove Church, 8585 Rice Lake Road, in Maple Grove Friday at 1:00 p.m. The visitation will be held one hour prior to service, the Press and News reported.
