Minnesota Will See Fall Weather This Week

The Minnesota State Fair is over. Football season has begun. And the weather is getting chillier.

Though fall won't be here until Sept. 22, the National Weather Service reports that lows will drop into the 50s by the end of the week.

This Afternoon: Increasing clouds, with a high near 78. Southeast wind around 10 mph becoming southwest. Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 8pm and 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 57. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 46. North northwest wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday
Sunny, with a high near 66. Calm wind becoming north northeast around 5 mph. Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 51. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph.

Thursday
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 70. South southeast wind around 5 mph. Thursday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy, with a low around 59. South southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Friday
Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy, with a high near 70. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Friday night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. East southeast wind around 5 mph becoming northwest after midnight.

Saturday
A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Saturday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. West northwest wind around 5 mph.
