Minnesota's Senate, Governor Races: Who's Ahead In The Polls
Democrats are hoping for a "blue wave" across the nation this fall, but Republicans are looking to flip seats in Minnesota.

In just a little over two weeks, Minnesotans will head to the polls to choose each party's candidate to run in the state's races for senator and governor. Minnesota's primary elections will be held Tuesday, Aug. 14.
New polling sheds light on tight races for both Democrats and Republicans.
Governor
Republicans: An NBC/Marist poll shows Republican former governor Tim Pawlenty with a significant lead (49 percent to 34 percent) over Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson among likely Republican voters.

Democrats: The Democratic primary race for governor is much closer, with state attorney general Lori Swanson and Rep. Tim Walz neck-and-neck (28 percent to 27 percent). State Rep. Erin Murphy is at 13 percent support, according to NBC and Marist.
