Post Reports District 279 Looks to Implement $1.5 Million Tech Levy
The restructured dollars would be used for technology, according to the Sun Post.

In a recent Sun Post article, writer Jonathan Young reported that Osseo Area Schools is looking for $1.5 million from taxpayers in order to better distribute technology resources.
According to the article published Feb 8., Osseo Area Schools staff asked the school board to turn to the Minnesota Department of Education for permission to collect the funds, which would be in the form of a technology levy.
Young wrote that the district would “shift revenue streams from another area,” which would keep taxpayers from actually paying more. The districts hopes that technology would be more prominent in all classrooms with the restructured dollars, according to the Post.
