Semi With 43K Pounds Of Fruit Crashes On I-94 In Maple Grove

MAPLE GROVE, MN — The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a crash involving a jackknifed semi on eastbound Interstate 94 at Interstate 494 in Maple Grove Thursday. The semi was loaded with approximately 43,000 pounds of fruit when it crashed just before 4 a.m., police said.

No injuries have been reported, according to authorities.

Eastbound I-94 will be closed for "an extended period of time" as crews work to clean up the crash site, the patrol said. All eastbound traffic on I-94 is being diverted to southbound I-494.
