Softball: Maple Grove lost just one game during the regular season on their way to a section championship. Their next hurdle will be Bloomington Jefferson, who the team will face in opening round action of the 2013 Minnesota State Softball Tournament. This year's state tournament is being played in Mankato, and Maple Grove's game is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Thursday. Boys Tennis: Maple Grove has qualified for the 2013 Minnesota State Tennis Tournament as a team and takes on Mahtomedi today, June 4, at the Baseline Tennis Center at the U of M. If victorious, the boys will take on the winner of Wayzata/St. Cloud Tech tomorrow, June 5, in second round action. Baseball: Maple Grove takes on Champlin Park today, June 4, for a chance to advance to the Section 5AAA finals. Maple Grove shuffled to the loser's bracket after losing to Champlin Park in the second round of section play but went on to win three consecutive games to keep their season alive. First pitch tonight is scheduled for 3:30 p.m at Wintercrest Field in St. Paul. Girls Golf: Jillian Klasen, a junior from Maple Grove High School, and Emily Petterson, a senior from Osseo, have qualified for the 2013 Minnesota State Tennis Tournament. This year's tournament begins June 11 at Bunker Hills Golf Course.
