Maddison Joyce Mertz, age 8, died Monday after "a courageous battle" with glioblastoma multiforme, a brain tumor.
VICTORIA, MN — Maddison Joyce Mertz, age 8, of Victoria, died Monday after "a courageous battle" with glioblastoma multiforme, a brain tumor. Mertz passed away while she was home, surrounded by her family. She was an active 2nd grader at Victoria Elementary School.
A GoFundMe page described Mertz as a girl who loved gymnastics, her sister, her friends, coloring, her dogs, and her family. According to the Sun Current, Mertz is survived by her parents, sister, grandparents, great grandparents, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
