Westbound I-94 Will Close In NE Twin Cities Metro This Weekend

Two detours will be in place during the closure.

BROOKLYN CENTER, MN — The westbound lanes of Interstate 94 in Brooklyn Center will be closed and detoured this weekend for pavement resurfacing Friday at 10 p.m. It is set to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.

The westbound lanes of the interstate will close from Highway 100 to Brooklyn Boulevard, according to a news release from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The Shingle Creek Parkway to the westbound interstate loop will close along with the ramp from southbound Highway 252 to the westbound roadway.

  • Northbound I-94/Highway 252: North on Highway 252, west on Highway 610, and south on Highway 169
  • Westbound I-94/I-694: South on Highway 100, west on I-394, and north on Highway 169
