Two 'Lucky Ducks' Make New Home at MN Zoo
A good Samaritan rescued the female in Maple Grove.

Two ducks have found a new home and new love at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley, according to KARE 11:
The female was found in Maple Grove by a good Samaritan, while the male was discovered injured near the [American Humane Society]Â property in Golden Valley.
After arriving at the AHS the two quickly became a bonded pair, which means they are together for life. When they were deemed unreleasable due to their injuries the Minnesota Zoo stepped in, offering the ducks a home in the zoo's Tropic Trail.

The ducks are part of a species called the Lesser Scaup, and migrate from as far away as Central America and frequently dive for their food.
