MAPLE GROVE, MN — Authorities have identified the woman who died after a commercial building caught fire in Maple Grove Tuesday night. Michele Mary Hanson, 52, died from the "inhalation of products of combustion and thermal injuries" during the fire, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
Three people were in the building when the fire began, according to officials. One person was hospitalized, while a second was treated at the scene, KARE 11 reported. A search was launched when the third person was unaccounted for.
The building was used as storage for propane tanks, in addition to boats and RVs. The propane tanks ignited a number of small explosions while firefighters extinguished the blaze, KSTP reports.
