The City of Oakdale is accepting applications for a full-time Customer Service Specialist/Cashier.

Position responsibilities: Assists customers in person and on telephone with utility bill and/or ambulance and other payments, assists customers in person and on telephone with general inquiries, serves as primary cashier for all city transactions and is responsible for all cashier-related duties, prepares daily bank deposits, provides general clerical duties, and provides back-up duties to the reception desk.

The preferred candidate must possess:

• Two years’ experience with accounting software, such as Incode; and/or Associates degree in business or accounting.
• Excellent customer service skills, with positive attitude.
• Ability to enter data and complete computations and tabulations with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task, including repetitive and routine tasks, with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to be flexible and easily adaptable to changes in assignments, processes, etc.
• High school diploma or GED.

Starting Pay Range: $21.33/hour, plus excellent benefits
