As of March 9, 2020, two cases of COVID-19 have been presumed positive in Minnesota in Ramsey and Carver Counties. While there are currently no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Washington County, we consider any new infectious disease a serious concern and are taking precautions. The City continues to monitor information provided by the Washington County Department of Public Health (WCDPH), the Minnesota Department of Public Health (MDH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
At this time, we are encouraging households, schools, employers, and other entities to be prepared for the possibility of a COVID-19 outbreak. We also encourage everyday preventive actions including staying home when sick, covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue, and washing hands often.
