Driver, 26, Dies In Oakdale After Steel Beams Smash Into Cab
The semi driver died on Interstate 694 in Oakdale Saturday.
OAKDALE, MN — A 26-year-old semi driver was killed on Interstate 694 in Oakdale Saturday as a result of an unsecured load. Authorities say Nelson Masse was going southbound just after 12:30 p.m. when he braked, causing a load of steel beams to shift into the semi's cab.
Masse was killed at the scene. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
