Federal emergency dollars for both local small businesses and residents are now available through Washington County.

Emergency grants for businesses

Local businesses with less than 50 employees can apply for an emergency grant of up to $15,000. Applications must be received before Aug. 24. For more information visit the Washington County CDA.

Payment assistance for homeowners

Homeowners in Washington County who have experienced a reduction in income due to the COVID-19 pandemic, may apply for one-time grants of up to $10,000 to assist with housing payments. Learn more about the Homeowner Relief Grant Program.

Rent and utility assistance

Assistance is also available for current and past due rent and utilities including gas, electric and water. While there currently is a moratorium on evictions due to the Peacetime State of Emergency in Minnesota, landlords may evict tenants with past due rent once state and federal restrictions on eviction filings are lifted.
