Feeling Creative? PLAYGROUND DESIGN DAY -- FREE EVENT STARTS TODAY AT 3 PM

Thanks to a generous grant awarded by national non-profit KaBOOM! and Foresters Financial, students at North Metro Flex Academy (NMFA) and children in the local community will be running, swinging, jumping and climbing their way to a more fun and healthy lifestyle on a beautiful, new and 100% unique playground to be located next to the academy on Helen Street in North St. Paul.

The school pursued the “Build It With KaBOOM!” Playground grant made possible by funding partner Foresters Financial, an international financial services provider that believes in building strong communities. This playground will benefit the thriving academy by providing its students and the local community with an easy, fun and accessible way to gather with friends and family and add more activity and play to their lifestyle – making for happier and healthier children in North St. Paul.

KEY DATES & How to Get Involved

There are countless volunteer opportunities for families in the community and ways area businesses can get involved. You do not need to currently have a student at NMFA to take part in creating what promises to be an exciting addition to North St. Paul.

Design Day – Wednesday, July 13 2016 3-8 PM at NMFA

3 PM – Site Walk

4 PM – Kids Design

5 PM – Adult Design Review

The design of the new playground will be based on drawings created by future NMFA students and neighborhood children in and around North St. Paul during a Design Day event held on July 13. At that time, community members, school parents and children, and organizers from KaBOOM! will meet to put their dream playground into drawings, which will inspire the final playground structure.
