Local Rising Stars Gymnastics Academy Gymnasts Compete at their First Meet of the Season

Results from gymnastics meet of local gymnasts

The Level 3 and 4 gymnasts from Rising Stars Gymnastics Academy competed in their first meet of the season on October 8, 2016, at the Razzle Dazzle meet at Fort Snelling. The Level 3’s celebrated first place with a team score of 108.450. Clara Opichka earned first place as the all-around champion with a stellar score of 36.175. Keiona Richard achieved first place on the vault with a score of 9.7 and second place on bars with a score of 9.150. Madeline Higgins celebrated her first place on bars with a score of 9.250. Isabelle Kargel earned third place on beam with a score of 8.875. The Level 4’s earned third place with a team score of 105.725. Veronica Zimmer tied for third place on vault with a 9.0 and placed second on bars with a 9.4 in her 7-9 age group. In the 10 year and up age group, Celine Lundquist earned second place on beam with a score of 9.225 and Katelyn McDowell earned second place on vault with a score of 8.8. The girls will compete in their next meet on October 22nd at the Harvest Meet. The girls are coached by Alyssa Weber, Bailee Meyer and Sang-Jin Song. Rising Stars Gymnastics Academy is located in Oakdale, Minnesota.
