The Sunday morning crash killed a 46-year-old man from Minneapolis.

OAKDALE, MN — A 46-year-old Minneapolis man was killed in a crash Sunday morning on Interstate 694 in the east metro. Darryl Leroy Bell was outside his car on the right shoulder of northbound I-694 — with the rear driver's side door open — when the fatal collision occurred.
Police say a 2018 Chevy Silverado drifted onto the right shoulder, striking Bell's 2011 Lincoln MKS and causing the him to be thrown.
The Silverado continued on the right hand shoulder before veering into the left lane and striking a 2018 Buick Regal, according to authorities. The Silverado then veered back to the right across all lanes of traffic, coming to rest in the east ditch.
