MPCA And DNR Seeking Input On East Metro Drinking Water Supply Options In City of Oakdale

The comprehensive set of three recommended options are open for public comment until October 26.

As the top priority from the 3M Settlement, the MPCA and the DNR plan to invest $700 million in safe and sustainable drinking water for those living and working in 14 communities in the East Metro Area affected by PFAS contamination. The options accounted for every home, neighborhood, and community in the 150 square miles to ensure all the recommendations are safe and sustainable now and into the future.

The MPCA and the DNR are seeking input on the draft recommended long-term drinking water supply options for the East Metropolitan Area. The comprehensive set of three recommended options are open for public comment through October 26.

To learn more about the recommended options, you are invited to attend one of four virtual public information meetings, scheduled for Tuesday, September 22 and Wednesday, September 23.

The meetings will be held from 3-5 PM. and 7-9 PM each day. The meetings will begin with a 60-minute presentation followed by a question and answer session.
