North Metro Flex Academy Newest School Option in North St. Paul Minnesota

Tuition-Free Public Charter School with Comprehensive Curriculum Supported by Technology is Currently Accepting Enrollments

North Metro Flex Academy (NMFA), an accredited, tuition-free public charter school, is the newest option for students in the North St. Paul/Oakdale/Maplewood, Minnesota area. The highly anticipated school located in a brand new space, is now accepting K-4 students for the 2016-17 school year. More than 150 students are expected to enroll for the inaugural year.

North Metro Flex Mission

North Metro Flex Academy’s vision is to create a high-performing and innovative school that will prepare students for any post-secondary opportunity they may wish to pursue. “Our school will be a place where all students will have access to exceptional curriculum, tools, and instruction to maximize their success in life,” shared NMFA Principal, Therese Privette, who has been involved with Minnesota charter schools since 1997.

Based on this commitment, NMFA’s mission is to prepare a diverse community of elementary, middle and high school students to be successful in college and in their careers through a flexible and personalized experience that develops disciplined, analytical, compassionate and self-directed learners. Current enrollees represent a wide range of ethnicities within the community, including Hmong, East and West African and Latino.

North Metro Flex Curriculum

NMFA uses the K12 core curriculum fully aligned with Minnesota Academic Standards. Teachers enhance their lessons utilizing an interactive whiteboard and engage the class through whole and small group interactions. There are key points during the day when students may be working individually on lessons or taking advantage of supplemental products to enrich or remediate specific skills. The entire experience is designed to make learning efficient, effective and engaging.

To submit a written enrollment application, send an email request to enroll@northmetroflex.com and an application and submission directions will be sent to the provided address. Students applying for admission to NMFA Kindergarten must be five years old by September 1st of the school year they are applying for. NMFA does not offer early entrance for Kindergarten.
