75,000 Ladybugs Will Be Released At The Mall Of America Thursday
Local children from Fraser Minnesota and Children's Minnesota will help Mall of America release 75,000 ladybugs Thursday. Here's why.
Local children from Fraser Minnesota and Children’s Minnesota will help Mall of America release 75,000 ladybugs on Thursday, April 20 throughout the plant beds in Nickelodeon Universe. The event will help celebrate Earth Day (Saturday, April 22).
The lady bugs are released in Nickelodeon Universe to act as a natural form of pesticide on the live plants throughout the park, the mall said. The bugs eat common pests found on plants such as aphids. They are only released a few times each year.
Excited to be a part of the ladybug release at @mallofamerica! https://t.co/HcU6u1LsnM #EarthDay
