Man Who Drowned At Bloomington Hotel Pool Identified

The incident is among a series of water-related deaths in Minnesota amid June's extreme and unseasonable heat.

BLOOMINGTON, MN — A man who drowned in a Bloomington hotel pool was been identified as Bobby Jerome Byrum, 39, of North Carolina. The incident happened Saturday just before 7 p.m. at La Quinta Inn and Suites.

He was transported to Fairview Southdale Hospital, where he was declared deceased at 7:41 p.m. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner ruled his death as an accident.
