Mayor Named to Board of Inter-City Lobby Group
Debbie Goettel says the appointment will give the city more influence.
Mayor Debbie Gottel was recently tapped to be a board member for the League of Minnesota Cities, according to the Sun Current.
The League advocates for Minnesota's municipalities at the state legislature, but must also find compromises that balance the issues of its urban, suburban, exurban, and rural members. Gottel's term lasts for three years.
“This will give me a larger voice and give Richfield a larger voice,” she told the newspaper. “And we need it.”
