Minnesota Life College Named a 2018 Top Workplace
Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota.

Minneapolis, MN June 24, 2018—Minnesota Life College has been named one of the Top Workplaces in Minnesota by the Star Tribune.
Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions measuring engagement, organizational health and satisfaction.
Amy Gudmestad, Executive Director of Minnesota Life College, explained that MLC
is focused on transforming the lives of young adults on the autism spectrum and
those with learning differences, adding “Our staff share a common belief - that the best way for our students and graduates to gain and maintain independence is by learning skills and experiencing life first-hand, within a supportive community in a vibrant city.”
“That’s why we are excited to change our name in August to MICC, which stands for Minnesota Independence College & Community. The new name reflects what everyone who comes to work everyday is focused on providing our students and graduates: independence and a vibrant life. We believe all of us benefit from lifelong learning, which is why we focus on growth opportunities for our staff, students and graduates. We all thrive in a community of continuous learning.”

To qualify for the Star Tribune Top Workplaces, a company must have more than 50 employees in Minnesota. Over 2,400 companies were invited to participate. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses.

The results of the Star Tribune Top Workplaces are based on survey information collected by Energage, formerly WorkplaceDynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention.
