More Watering Holes, More Interviews with Fox News Zombies

Why is it whenever TV reporters want any opinions about Donald Trump, they always visit the local taverns?

Why do they limit their opinion research to customers in bars and restaurants that serve liquor?

Seems like whenever journalists want to “talk Trump” with the man — or woman — on the street, they walk into a bar. Yeah, there’s a joke here all right, but I’m not laughing because it’s not funny. It starts out, “A reporter walks into a bar and interviews customers about Donald Trump…” I can’t remember the rest, but it always ends with how much they love Trump.
He’s honest.
He speaks his mind.
He’s different — he’s not like those other guys in politics.

Uh-huh. “Some pig,” as Charlotte the spider might spin.

So if you really love POTUS #45 and what he’s doing to the country, you need to down a few boilermakers before you can start talking about him?

Makes you wonder how liquored up his fan base had to get before they actually voted for him.

Well, not me, of course, Not this writer. I’m pretty sure most of them were sober on Election Day, 2016. That’s what makes it all so frightening. These citizens not only voted for Trump with clear minds and intentions, they’re still able — even months after the inauguration — to recite talking points, often verbatim, from FOX News.

I know because I actually see them and hear them do it whenever one of these “Happy Hour Reports” gets televised. Things must go better with Bacardi, because the majority of those interviewed, especially those who voted for Trump, still like him. They would still vote for him again if that were at all possible. But now their rhetoric about fake news and how we all must “give him a chance,” is slowly getting replaced by newer talking points. Now, they’re defending their fearless leader a la Fox & Friends.

Ask his fan base about him now, after Comey’s testimony before the US Senate Committee, and you’ll hear an eerily familiar refrain. Like zombies who can’t find any fresh brains, they remain braindead, doomed to repeat whatever Fox News tells them to think. (Note: remarks in parentheses that follow each opinion reflect the voice of reason that’s seldom heard during these interviews.)
*What about Hillary Clinton? She was the other candidate in the election. She was involved in the election, too. How come you’re not investigating her?
(Maybe because she already HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED, at least three different times. And no one ever found that she’d done anything illegal.)

When Comey investigated Hillary Clinton’s e-mails before the election, the Democrats didn’t like it. But now that Comey wants to investigate Trump, they like him — and now it’s a big deal.
(So? Don’t citizens have the right to agree — or disagree — with the actions of a federal employee like Comey? Can’t we like some of Comey’s ideas and dislike others? One could always argue that the Republicans looked the other way when Comey was investigating Hillary. But when Comey tried to investigate Trump, Republicans denounced his action as a “witch hunt.” Why this double standard?)

Donald Trump is telling the truth and Comey is lying. I believe the President.
(Sure you do. Because now Trump is the President. Now he’s The Man . And The Man in charge with the power and the money is always right, especially when he fires someone.)

Way to go, Fox News! Your propaganda worked. Somehow your network of fake news has bombarded the zombies among us to forsake facts and embrace your custom-tailored GOP fiction. Somehow you’ve turned the worst male chauvinist pig into America’s hero and helped put him in the White House. Meanwhile, you’ve branded poor Hillary, who currently holds no public office, as an uppity she-devil. Never mind the fact that she’s done nothing illegal. That didn’t stop your sexist, racist gang from crucifying her in the court of public opinion.

Somehow, you charlatans and poseurs at FOX have brought us to the gates of civic hell with Donald Trump…and you’re still trying to blame Hillary for your sunburns.
